The plan today, was to finish everything that needed finishing. Oh, right! All I did was this! This was the one I started on Saturday, and I couldn't bear to leave it the way it was. Check out Sharon Elaine to see what it looked like this morning.
If you would like to purchase this painting for 70GBP (unless otherwise stated) please email me.

Dear Sharon, this is a lovely, sensitive painting! I have just returned from the UK and have read your posting regarding your art sale and the comments made - we all seem to have to face this issue, I sold nothing at an exhibition (everybody else seemed to) and I decided to stop exhibiting for a few years and just paint for myself. Just painting for the joy of it was wonderful and I try to paint that way even though I have got back into exhibiting again. It is all a bit of a rollercoaster ride and we have to be strong to ride it out. I know of a few very good artists that have given up painting after facing rejection and it is such a pity. Glad to see you are up and running again! Love Dianne
Sharon, I love this painting. The gradation of blue to neutral to skin tones is outstanding, beautiful lost edges (which I just love seeing in a painting of a human-type critter), and it is so effectively anchored in the left-hand corner. This is one I'll come back to and spend some time just admiring the work of.
And I've subscribed to your other blog in my google reader so I won't miss any goodies there. I love studies.
Dianne + Dianne, thank you.
Dianne, I couldn't stop painting if I tried, I meant I would stop blogging, but I can't stop that either. It is such a wonderful, helpful, inspiring community. Glad you enjoyed your trip here, come back soon and detour to Ramsey!
Dianne, I am humbled that you really looked at my painting and saw such good stuff! Thanks for the link, I am honoured.
Really lovely work on this one. It just vibrates with energy.
Hi Sharon... I just wanted to drop back ... I agree Therma is a very beautiful painting... and Eloise such a sweety... very beautiful...
Thank you Bill + Sylvia. Funny how you enjoy working on some paintings more than others and it sure does show!
