Sharon…way to go. Girl (as they say in the States)…. this is just awesome. So real, so fresh, I knew it was you before I even read the post. It must have been quite a challenge painting yourself nude while painting…if you know what I mean. I had to laugh about the curtains…. maybe when your new studio is finished you will have a perfect nude hide away (lol)….. I actually really like it the way it is right now....it has a freshness about it....
I'm off to the other blog to read more, but my first thought is 'don't do any more to this! Here you are daring to be stripped bare for the sake of your art and you have painted this with such integrity and honesty. A really challenging self-portrait which highlights the complexities of personal identity, and look what you have achieved! I found this the most exhilarating and powerful painting you have done. Congratulations and all best wishes.
