DSFDF My Effort

My thanks to Karin Jurick for her brilliant idea for her Different Strokes For Different Folks blog, because I had such a good time painting this portrait. And now there is the added interest waiting to find out who I have painted. What a lovely young woman! And also to see what she did with my image! So interesting, Karin, I salute you!

Isn't this exciting?! You painted so softly - your subject is beautiful! Who could have imagined so many different interpretations, all up there for viewing and enjoying! Sure enjoy yours! Happy and Merry!

Really, really nice job, Sharon. I was looking at it and the next portrait and admiring the teeth, as I am still wondering how I will possibly be able to do teeth. Then I read your coment about teeth! I think you have been looking at them too long - they look great to me.

Sharon I recognized my dear beast friend right away! That is Hillary Miller of http://hillarymillerart.blogspot.com/ and you've done a beautiful job, you've captured her angelic quality :) Congratulations getting this done! Did Karin match us with who we are painting?

Merry Christmas Sharon, This portrait is great and has such a warm, soft feel to it. I'm sure she'll love it. I also wanted to commend you on the fabulous painting "cool off" you did. Good luck on that.

Sharon, great job on this portrait, I only wish the one I did was as successful!

Sharon, Thank you for your gentle, sensitive treatment! I don't think I've ever seen my self in such an ethereal cast. I'm fascinated by the way the hair, fuzzy as it is (!) diffuses into the background. And the wonderful way you seemed to have taken at least ten years off! What a great piece!

I love the softness and the sense of movement in this portrait. Beautifully painted! The expression is so gentle and tender. I can almost see her eyes watering.
