This is the view from my bedroom window, spoiled by the wind turbines, but the shape to the right of them, on the horizon, is Ely Cathedral. I am amazed that I can see it because it is twenty miles away, but it is testament to how flat and empty is the landscape of the Fens. I can't see it everyday, but every morning I look, and if I can, then I know it will be a GOOD day!

I think they are a blot on the landscape, nuclear power is probably the way to go, I hate to think of these turbines everywhere. The painting is great! It has the feeling of the fens.
Good luck with Memo at HAS! I might get to the exhibition this year. So will see it for real.
I have yet to see a wind turbine but I love the painting.
Sharon, actually, I think this is a beautiful painting. The colors you have used are misty and soft. As far as the turbines go, they are not bad looking compared to things we already have to look at, like billboards and highways. They are so simple in design that they almost look organic. Could be a lot worse.
