WA

The brief today was to paint a copy of a masterpiece, or paint in the style of your favourite artist.

Remember this? A copy of Lady Agnew of Lochnaw by John Singer Sargent, but with my younger face. I didn't like the head, as I felt it too small, so.........

I changed it. Needs more work, but I am happier with the proportions.

I also made a start on a companion piece, featuring a young Roy, which is also a copy of a Sargent, Lord Dalhousie.

I always love to see copies of masterpieces--love all of these...you have that same loose brushstroke of Sargent and his sensitive colors and values. Great work!
p.s. what is WA

Love how you've changed the head and used Sargent's work as a basis for your homage. Beautiful xx
