Head Study 14" x 14" Charcoal

I'm stuck! I keep going to my studio with nothing in mind to paint, inspiration eludes me. The worst thing is that the annual members show for HAS is looming and I want to submit a masterpiece!
This is a study from a photograph of a friend. I don't know why, but I find it much harder to draw from a photo than from life, perhaps because there is NO LIFE in it!

If you would like to purchase this painting for 70GBP please email me.

There may have been no life in the photo, but you surely put life in the drawing! Outstanding!

Thank you, Dianne, I treasure such a compliment coming from you, such a master yourself!

I've been all caught up in my my own dramas and finally managed to get over here to see what you've been painting. Looks like you've had a few of your own in my absence. I think we both need reminders that we do this for the joy of creating and of getting the puzzle to come out the way we want it to. And for the friends we make by doing that. You inspire me. Thank you, Sharon!
