Thoughts and Work of an Artist
Love how you cropped this and left the background untouched! Also, I detect more defined brushstrokes which makes for a strong painting. Are you using flat brushes now? Bravo!
Hi Carol, much appreciated comments. I love no backgrounds...something less to worry about! The answer to yur question is yes. I forgot my brushes last month and borrowed a flat from a friend..what a revelation! Definitely preferable to filberts.
Sharon, great painting--love the dynamic pose and negative shapes. The portrait of Andrew is wonderful, shrug, smile, and all!
Thank you, Bev. I did consider painting her surroundings, but then ran out of time. So, decision made. I like it though.
Hi Sharon, You do such a great job painting these models. Really excellent!
Thank you Barbara, must be because I enjoy it so much.
Fantastic!Where do you take these life classes Sharon? I'd be really interested in times too, as it's a bit of a journey for me, but I'd love to have a life class to attend the one I did take part in for a while dried up.
