Fifteen 12 " x 14" Oil WIP

Getting in the basic structure and I'm very pleased with this.

Because I did 'Thirteen' in colour, I made a start, but only had about 20 minutes. I prefer the black + white but, hey, it's not finished yet! Maybe I can bring her back.

Two works in progress....the first, a bigger version of a favourite which sold. The second, from a friends' photo, which just made me giggle.

Finger Painting

I've been enjoying myself again, by way of getting back into the swing of painting. I love getting my hands dirty (and clothes and furniture), and slipping, sliding, dabbing the paint on a smooth surface is glorious!

I framed this yesterday while it was still wet, forgetting to photograph, and then proceeded to vigorously clean the glass! You can imagine the outcome. And I very nearly re-framed after the clean up without photographing again. Senior moments are becoming an all too frequent occurence.

Looking at this now, I have a mind to darken the background. We'll see. Painted from a photograph taken at one of the HAS life sessions.

WA

The suggestion for a subject at the WA yesterday, was to copy a famous painting. I chose 'Honfleur' by Edward Seago, because hubby likes it, and so I promised him a copy last year. It isn't famous, not like the 'Mona Lisa' and I can't even find it on Google, so I have taken a photo from my book. 

I admit it looked like an easy job...but the detail is astounding...and it looks just blue and yellow....but it isn't! To be finished next week.

PS. Jacqui made fruitcake and I am happy to report that I abstained! Everyone said it was delish!
