Low Tide 42" x 32" Oil

I have added a few more glazes to this today. I really wanted to sharpen up the boats, but when I eventually found a photograph, it was really small which explains the undefined painting.

I also prepared another larger canvas........and sat for an hour wondering what to paint! 20" x 16" is my comfort zone, anything larger and I don't want to waste it.....and so I can't begin!

I really like this one. You've done a marvelous job with the thinning waves washing over the sand. The patterns on the sand and the pattern of the clouds not only serve as directionals to the boats, but are a wonderful abstract composition by themselves. Beautiful work. I like 12 x 16 too and 20 x 20. This one I'm working on is 36 by 20. It's taking a lot of paint and a lot of energy, but I am thoroughly involved, determined and anxious to get to work in the mornings. From your fewer posts, I gather you're on a roll as well. Happy painting.
