Portraits

Half Full  20" x 16" Oil

Adolescent  30" x 40"  Oil

Paramedic  18" x 24" Acrylic

David Lee  18" x 24" Acrylic

I have delivered paintings for selection (hopefully) to West Norfolk Artists Associations' annual exhibition. One lady commented on the portrait..'Half Full'....and said I had obviously been doing it awhile. I came straight home to compare!
The only really early one I have is 'Adolescent', painted with a very limited palette....red, blue and white. The other two were painted in 2004-2005 ish. I remember thinking they were all fantastic....at the time! Not sure I have progressed very far.

Hi Sharon. Awesome, awesome, awesome ... and awesome! The top one looked like a photo in the thumbnail, but I like the brushwork and the captured expression on the paramedic one best. The second one down looks like a young Freddy Mercury!

all great...but I know what you mean....about looking at older work and newer work and not being clear on how much progress
....The top portrait has an "expert" quality. I love them all...but that one does indeed say this artist is in command.
