Balloons (detail)

I have not painted for weeks! And it is so hard to get started again. This week I have begun the large painting for the hospital, blocking in all the elements in the local colour in acrylic. Nothing easy to get me going again! I might have to finish in oils because, as you can see from this face, I've forgotten how to manage acrylics. This is a small corner of the painting, just to whet your appetite!

Very nice and I know the difficulty's with doing work in acrylics I just tint the canvas and quickly move to oils from there.

Really good that you are painting once more, it's hard to get started again after a break. A good start so take up those brushes and paint and go with the flow! Before you know it the painting will be finished.

Have missed your blog Sharon so glad to see you back.

Wonderful start - how large will the painting be?

Hi,Sharon, I'm very happy for your come back. Just take it easy and have fun in painting. Really look forward to an outcome of a big work. I do not do oil...another hidden reason is...it costs fortune!?
Cheers, wink, wink Sadami

If this is just a small piece, it must be HUGE! She looks great and those lovely balloons strike wonderful colour notes.
