Framing and Drawing.

OK, you guys, which frame? I fell in love with no 1, spent lots of pennies and bought it specially to go with this painting.....but I have a horrid feeling the plain black looks better! Please bear in mind it is a bad photo, frame no 1 is grey and doesn't have the brown tinge really. As it is for the BP Award I want it to be the best it can be! Help!

To take my mind off the dilemma, I did this........

Tattoo  20" x 30" (?)  Conte, charcoal, acrylic. Work In Progress

Bonsoir,
Je pense tout de même que le cadre n°2 donne plus de profondeur à votre peinture...
J'aime beaucoup le visage de votre deuxième personnage. Son regard est très expressif.
Gros bisous

Number one. It is austere as the painting and compliments it. The second frame is a lot of frame. I would be thinking liner to separate it from a landscape and to give the painting room to breathe. It would also look good with a beveled mirror, (the designer in me just won't give up).

Love the work in progress--charcoal, conte and acrylic--very interesting. Good form. Wonderful head.

I like the top frame myself. Unusual frame for an unusual portrait. The perspective looking up is different to most SPs. Well done and good luck!
