Where's the Lads?  16" x 16"  Oil

The brief today was to make Christmas cards, so, as I don't do Christmas, I did this, from a photo taken at Cromer.
I really like using the board for the beach, and now I'm wondering if using a proper sheet of wood, instead of this MDF, or hardboard, would make an even better painting, because of the grain.

I like the perspective and you nailed the gestures!

ah, you don't do Christmas...so no poinsettas from you! The perspective here is great...and the title is perfect. Are you saying you did not paint anything for the sand, and you allowed the background to be as it is? One last query....what is Cromer?

Interesting perspective for the figures walking with the shadows. Very clever. Good luck with the studio, lots of lovely light!

The decorations and tree are up as usual, even though just the two of us this year! Barry is sending Xmas cards but they have a sunrise over the sea on them! Oh well - different.
