Half Empty 20" x 16" Oil WIP

I've not abandoned my still life challenge, but I felt the need to paint this again. You may remember I did a sketch of the same image earlier in the year. Now, I need to have a break from this for a couple of days as I can't see for looking. I keep enlarging the hand but it STILL seems too small!

A good natural pose I like the way he is sitting with his arm across the chair, difficult decision to make about the hand, it looks fine to me but I'm no expert. I wonder what his looking at? Well done.

Sharon, the hand is fine the size it is but what I think you are in need of is a few more knuckle creases on the bent fingers and it needs to be a bit older looking (age spots???) maybe. It's a wonderful painting.

Dear Sharon,
Cute work! Particualrly, I love the relaxing mood captured in the painting. Hope this goes well.
Best wishes, Sadami
